B A C K G R O U N D :
Grand Point North is an annual Music festival that is presented by the band Grace Potter & the Nocturnals and Higher Ground Music venue. This outdoor festival is hosted at the Waterfront Part in Burlington Vermont. For the past three years it has featured musical acts selected by Grace Potter. This year the festival is expanding to include visual art elements organized by Charlotte Potter. This new arena of the festival has been entitled “Grand Point Weird” and features a tent for video art viewing as well as open grounds for temporary installation work. The project has been noted in an interview in Rolling Stone Magazine linked below:
Themes for this exhibition surround the fantastic, psychedelic, supernatural, strange or odd.

Selected artists will be awarded tickets to the concerts.
V I D E O : Now accepting video submissions for the “Tent of Weird” viewing pavilion. Videos must not exceed 5 mins and a sound element is encouraged. This is a public art venue; therefore explicit material may not be appropriate. Videos will be exhibited in a loop on a large screen in the tent, with seating available.

S C U L P T U R E / I N S T A L L A T I O N : Now accepting temporary interactive/immersive art projects for the outdoor green space. Project proposals should include images of the work and a descriptive paragraph outlining any needed materials and installation guidelines.
